8 Terrible Games With INCREDIBLE Bosses

1. Isaac Kumano - Devil's Third

Resident Evil 6 Haos

Oh, Devil's Third.

This much-hyped action game from Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden maestro Tomonobu Itagaki has its defenders, for sure, but even if you can put up with all the intentionally dumb storytelling, the poor performance and overwhelming level of jank strike fatal blows.

The pummelling the game took from critics and players alike ensured that Devil's Third remains trapped on the Wii U, despite passionate calls for Nintendo to port it to Switch or PC. That says it all, really.

But for all of its many issues, the game does at least save the best for last, as Devil's Third finally becomes the game it's clearly been striving for all along in its climactic boss fight.

The battle against terrorist leader Isaac Kumano is a swordfight set against a gorgeous fiery backdrop, and what it lacks in mechanical complexity, it more than compensates with ferocious intensity and sheer vibes. In the very least, the game went hard when it mattered most.
