8 Terrible Games With INCREDIBLE Bosses
2. Haos - Resident Evil 6
Following the franchise-rejuvenating brilliance of Resident Evil 4 and solid action thrills of Resident Evil 5, the sixth mainline entry took quite the tumble, straying too far from the series' survival-horror roots while offering up a bloated platter of four wildly uneven campaigns.
It ultimately proved divisive enough that Capcom waited another five years to release a new numbered installment, with Resident Evil 7 making a much ballyhooed return to card-carrying survival horror territory (in first-person, no less).
Yet as much as RE6 has been rightly shaded over the last 12 years, there is one unforgettable boss fight at the end of Chris Redfield's campaign.
Haos is a friggin' blast.
For starters, this gigantic bioweapon one of the most genuinely revolting monsters in the entire Resident Evil franchise, and powerful enough to make the likes of Nemesis and Mr. X look like mere trivialities.
The fight itself touts an epic, cinematic scale far beyond your typical Resident Evil boss clash, and though it goes on for a good while, it's varied enough to never feel exhausting.
Haos' sheer relentlessness makes this one of the series' most exciting fights, and when you finally take the big galoot down for the count - with some sacrificial help from your bud Piers - it truly feels like an accomplishment.
