8 Terrible Video Games Made By Amazing Developers

2. Way Of The Warrior - Naughty Dog

When it comes to blockbuster single-player games, few developers have a better track record than Naughty Dog. The studio, which could have easily been known for Crash Bandicoot and Crash Bandicoot alone, has evolved into a cinematic powerhouse, delivering some of the best characters and stories in gaming history.

But every studio had to find their footing somewhere, and before they caught the eye of Sony, ND were simply trying to get by. This led to them creating a few questionable titles in their formative years, but none were as bad as Way of the Warrior.

Taking a look at Mortal Kombat's success and thinking "we can do that", Naughty Dog were put to work on creating a similarly-bloody 2D fighter, which had no real defining qualities of its own.

It reviewed poorly at the time, and although the team that made the game is drastically different to the one which crafted The Last of Us, it's still a strange inclusion in an otherwise flawless library.
