7. NX Won't Break Your Wallet

This isn't a console-specific 'feature', but the fact remains that Nintendo are usually the kindest when it comes to slapping a price tag on their main piece of hardware. Sure the Wii U's gamepad was an expensive bit of kit, but in the past, Nintendo's consoles are traditionally the cheapest on the market. I'd expect the NX to remain the most affordable mainstream console, despite the slight rise in each generation. It means that owning Nintendo's yet-to-be-showcased console as an alternative to your main choice really is viable, and if you think of new buyers, shelling out for a PS4 or Xbox One halfway through their cycle doesn't look too great by comparison. Think about it; a day one NX would be the easiest option, and even if PS4/Xbox One owners pick one up on the side and the games speak for themselves, that direct competition could be exactly what Nintendo need to make their mark on the generation overall.
