6. Nintendo Will Always Dominate The Handheld Market

You could argue that Apple or Android rule the handheld market thanks to the boom of mobile gaming, accelerating the evolution of Snake on your old Nokia (3310, obviously) to full 3D versions of GTA in just a decade. The problem is that you simply don't get the same lasting experience from a mobile game in comparison to what was on the Nintendo DS or the Game Boys of old.

There are strong rumours to suggest the NX will incorporate some form of handheld device, but given the relative failure of the Wii U, you'd expect something more refined than a simple controller-meets-console hybrid. Then you have news that Nintendo are moving into the App Store over the coming year, with Pokemon GO set to rule our lives when it eventually drops. Either way, what's in your hands is going to be Nintendo-themed.
