8 Times DLC Ruined The Base Game

Saints Row: The Third's Bloodsucker Pack DLC gave players the Dracula Blood Sucking skill, allowing them to suck the necks of human shields, exsanguinate them, and then have their health fully restored.

This not only made the game hilariously easy, but because the DLC couldn't be deactivated, players were stuck with it, the blood suck permanently replacing the prior neck snap ability.

This led some infuriated players to create mods which would remove the blood suck and revert it back to the neck snap,

Fans complained vocally enough to developer Volition that they ended up removing the Bloodsucker Pack from both the Full Package re-release and Saints Row: The Third Remastered, evidently agreeing that it was too egregiously overpowered for its own good.

While few are going to the Saints Row games for Dark Souls levels of challenge, it was still maddening to force this ability on players, making combat trivial to a fault and giving them no official way to get rid of the attack.
