8 Times Video Game Developers Publicly Insulted Their Players

7. David Jaffe Hits Back At Uncivil Twisted Metal Fan

David Jaffe is known for having a bit of a mouth on him, but to give the guy some credit, he is most certainly not afraid to speak his mind and publicly back up his own views and beliefs. And sometimes, this can lead to things getting a bit heated, as happened in the run-up to 2012's Twisted Metal reboot on the PS3.

Things kicked off when a fan went on a racist rant on the fan site Twisted Metal Alliance (as relayed by Eurogamer), stating that - after hearing that the game would include Jay-Z music - they didn't want to hear "blacks rap about their b******s", and that the game needed more heavy metal instead.

Jaffe didn't take too kindly to these comments and proceeded to go on a rant of his own, which contained more swear words than an episode of The Thick Of It:

"F***ing WOW, right? I mean - f*** man. I'm so stunned that a game I can co-direct can connect and communicate with such an ignorant a***ole. On a side note: remind me to send a copy of 'Elements of Style' to this Klan member. F***".

A completely understandable response considering how ignorant and rude the fan was being in the first place, and after all this trouble, Jay-Z didn't actually end up being included on the game's official soundtrack anyway.
