8 Times Video Game Enemies Went Places They Shouldn't
7. Gandohar - Two Worlds
Two Worlds was billing itself as the RPG to beat The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and instead released as a undercooked, buggy mess. The thing about buggy messes is that it means players will find wonderful ways to exploit them to make their own fun.
Two Worlds’ final boss Gandohar is actually able to be encountered by the player as they reach the game’s first town but he’s too powerful to take down right away. That being said, you can make this happen with a little help from some friends.
Throwing a fireball at Gandohar and then wandering into the town will trick him into following you. If he throws his own spell at you and the splash damage hits a villager, his fate is sealed.
NPC AI in this game is triggered to gang-up on whoever attacks them, and it's not just limited to the player. You'll respawn, and upon re-entering the village, will see Gandohar regretting his decision to visit, as the invincible townsfolk destroy the almighty villain with pitchforks and sticks. Boy, you came to the wrong town…
In the first patch of the game, Gandohar dying anywhere will even trigger the game’s final cutscene, wherein the player character rescues their kidnapped sister who, now rather ironically, will say “that took a long time”.
