3. Ned's Dead (Or Is He?) - Borderlands: The Zombie Island Of Dr. Ned
Borderlands' The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned DLC concludes by facing off against the mad doctor himself, which is actually a shockingly brief shootout in which all but the most inept of players should make short work of him in a tight 60 seconds.
Within moments of him flopping "dead," the end credits start rolling - ever the sign that the player can put the controller down, grab a snack, go to the bathroom, and so on, right?
Wrong. A few seconds later, Dr. Ned reappears, cutting through the credits screen and shouting, "It's not over yet!" As it turns out, Ned has been resurrected as the zombified Undead Ned for a more conventional and challenging arena-style boss fight.
Most average-skilled players still won't struggle terribly to defeat Ned, but even so, for anyone who walked off the moment the credits rolled, they were probably in for quite the shock when they returned to a Game Over screen.
