There are a number of instant-death scenarios you can stumble into throughout 2015’s Yomawari.

With wrong turns in mazes leading towards glaring red eyes, seemingly harmless creatures that ignore you until you touch them and enemies waiting to jump you from behind shrubbery, you’re never sure what to trust.

One mistake so tiny that you can fall for it over and over again though is being a little too careless with your footing, as the paving throughout the game is adorned with a range of manholes, cracks and mouths which can instantly take you out.

The problem is that not every manhole hides a monster, and not every crack and crevice is created the same - so in order to survive you need to make sure to be cautious at all times. Slip up for just one moment and put toes too close to one of these pavement decorations and you’re destined for a death screen!
