8 Types Of Player In Rainbow Six: Siege
1. The Lurker
Lurkers are more common among defenders but can also be found in the attacking team. Defenders leave the objective and creep through the map to attack unsuspecting attackers, whilst attacking lurkers split from the rest of their team and sneak up on defenders from another entry point.
Caveira is the most obvious choice as a defender. Her silent step ability allows her to sprint across the map quickly without making much noise. Vigil is another strong choice, and is invisible to drones when his ERC-V7 ability is active (this is also the case for any cameras that have been hacked for Dokkaebi).
Lurkers are especially dangerous in the Plane and Tower maps, where virtually all of the map is inside. Sprinting through the top floor of the plane or along the perimeter of the tower without being detected makes it easy to lurk on these maps. Lurkers are much less effective in more straightforward maps such as the Hereford Base or the House
Most attackers can lurk, unless they are particularly slow (these operators are much louder and can also struggle to escape tight situations and close calls). Breachers can often lurk through maps such as Kanal if the rest of the team focuses on another entry point to the objective.
