8 ULTRA Rare Video Game Items You’ll Never Own
1. Renegade Raider - Fortnite
It's hard to remember a time when Fortnite wasn't everywhere; a marketing juggernaut responsible for generating enough money for Epic to start their own Epic Game Store, and before it was alongside Minecraft as an essential play for millions of younger gamers.
However, there was such a time. Fortnite itself had launched as a wave-based zombie defence game, and when the "Battle Royale" add-on dropped, yes there was initial interest, but not in what looked like a generic, cartoony take on the otherwise serious, PUBG.
Flash forward a few years, PUBG Corps largely squandered all their momentum by launching with console versions that paled in comparison to PC, and Fortnite's rounded aesthetic has gone on to influence everything from Immortals: Fenyx Rising to Rocket Arena.
Retrospectively, anything from those early days is valuable as hell, but Epic simply refuse to bring back a specific Season 1 skin named the "Renegade Raider". Confirmed from a member of Epic talking to Twitch streamer Dakotaz, while the vast majority of skins have returned at some point, Renegade Raider hasn't been available to buy since 2017.
