8 Utterly Brutal Video Game Sidequests

5. Gilded Falcons Quest - Alundra

Xenoverse Boss
Matrix Software

First off, if you've never played Alundra, then you my brave soul are missing out on a delicious slice of Secret of Mana-vibing joy. The graphics, the gameplay, and of course that ever-chipper soundtrack are the types of things that will warm your soul on a cold winter's night.

The Gilded Falcon's Quest, however, well that might actually set your blood alight with how irritating it is to complete. Throughout the game, you can find fifty of these glorified golden geese and you can return them to a quest giver in exchange for some pretty decent rewards. Now you might look at the number and scoff "50?! I've collected all the Korok Seeds in Breath Of The Wild AND murdered every pigeon in GTA IV, this is nothing!"

Well, hold onto your bonnet because despite the lower quantity, these birds can fly the nest without you even noticing as some are in areas you can only visit once, and others actually have a time limit on them.

That's right, some of these collectibles have an in-built clock which means if you take too long, you'll be unable to complete the quest in it's entirety. Good. Great. Perfect. NO. THANKS.

My advice? Just enjoy the game at your own pace.
