8 Video Game Achievements That Straight Up Trolled You

For those of you not in the know, Kalimba is a delightful little puzzle platformer that dropped way back in 2014, which tasks the player with controlling two cutesy totems as they seek to undo a terrible curse.

Now if you're like me, trying to do even one task with a relevant amount of competency is pretty tough, so trying to balance both of these cheery chaps while switching between avoiding enemies on the top row and hazards on the bottom was like me trying to drive with my feet.

And lest we not forget I can't drive.

However, you'll need to work that twin magic pretty hard if you're to ever beat some of the game's devious challenge rooms, as these can be absolutely brutal. However, maybe they're not as brutal as Kalimba's narrator Hoebear's trolling power. This meta god will routinely make reference to your actions, and upon completing the challenge rooms he will often pop up to mock and reward you in equal measure.

His finest moment, however, is when he tells you that in order to get the real treasure from one of the challenge rooms, that you need to "Wave at the magical device known as the Kinnect".

So, groaning as you do at this seemingly forced interaction with Microsoft's gimmicky device, you wave. And nothing happens. You wave harder. Still nothing.

It's then that Hoebear reveals that Kalimba doesn't support Kinnect and was just making you look like a tit. Cheers.
