8 Video Game Decisions You HAD To Make (Because You Weren't Levelled Enough)
1. Using The Damn Summon Circles - The Last Story
Cult classic RPG The Last Story has a fantastic anti-frustration feature which should honestly be employed by many more games to help out players who are grossly underlevelled.
Throughout the game you'll come across Summon Circles - red circular symbols typically found near bosses, which when activated allow you to spawn numerous enemies out of nowhere.
Basically, the Summon Circles are a "Grind Yourself Out of Trouble" card - a facility to ensure that no matter how unprepared you are for the fight ahead, you can level up and try again.
While it's simply expected that modern games provide enough checkpointing to prevent players from locking themselves out of progressing onward, even as little as 12 years ago when The Last Story came out, that wasn't always true.
It may not be the sexiest or most exciting way to barrel through a tricky boss, and you might feel a little cheap in excessively relying on them, but when needs must, the Summon Circles come in clutch.
