8 Video Game Easter Eggs That Smashed The Fourth Wall

1. The Ocelot Time Paradox In Metal Gear Solid 3 And V

Ever willing to fuse the real and video game worlds, both MGS 3 and V let you kill fan-favourite Revolver Ocelot if you so wish. If you do this in either game, however, you create a time paradox because Ocelot has to live for the events of the other Metal Gear Solid games to occur. This triggers a Game Over and forces you to restart from the last checkpoint. When you off Ocelot in MGS 3, MGS 1 and 2's Colonel berates you for having created a time paradox that screws up the series chronology. In Phantom Pain meanwhile, Kaz plainly states the obvious by pointing out that "You just killed Ocelot". Given the strained relations between Kaz and him though, you get the impression that Snake kind of did Kaz a favour in doing so. Are there any we missed? Let us know in the comments!
