Assassin's Creed II has a few rewards for players who seek out the game's 100 collectible feathers scattered around the map. 

Hoovering up 50 feathers will result in you gaining access to the Condottiero War Hammer from the blacksmith, which is one of the best weapons in the entire game, and so players quite naturally assumed that one hell of a treat was awaiting those who invested the time and effort to get all 100.

But what you actually get is the Auditore Cape, which rather than bestow Ezio with some sort of secret ability - like, say, invisibility - makes your social status instantly notorious.

This ensures that you'll always get a ton of aggro the moment you enter any city, which obviously makes for quite the cack "prize" considering the enormous amount of time it takes to get all 100 feathers.
