8 Video Game NPCs You Would Die To Protect

What would Monster Hunter be without the Palicos, the human-cat hybrid creatures that accompany you on all your major hunts? Well technically, it would still be an almighty good franchise seeing as it would retain its gigantic beast based battles, but still, Palicos really are the heart of this experience.

Whether they're carting you back to camp after having your butt handed to you, helping you sniff out and track down wild animals, or just doing their damndest to fight beasts that are nearly 40 times the size of them, Palicos are basically what every cat owner ever wanted from their companions, namely a beast that a) actually listens to what you tell it and b) sometimes shows affection and not a general air of disdain.

Even when not in battle, Palicos help out by keeping the community running, and cooking up a storm whenever you visit the kitchens. It'd be hard to narrow it down to just one of these fantastic felines, especially when you will most definitely fall head over heels for your personal Palico, but I think we can all agree that the Meowscular Chef is a well seasoned super cat who will never fail to make us laugh with his dramatic cooking flourishes.
