8 Video Game Remasters We DEMANDED (Then Instantly Regretted)

5. PaRappa The Rapper: Remastered

Gta definitive edition
Sony

When you first lay your eyes on the Parappa The Rapper Remaster you might not immediately be able to tell what's so utterly heinous about the experience.

The graphics look polished and sharp, the music is, as was in the original on another level for how comedic and catchy it is, and of course, the premise of a rapping dog looking to win the love of a Sunflower is just so out there that it almost demands your attention.

However, things become abundantly pungent the moment you actually start playing this game, or should that be attempting to play as this Rhythm action game contains precisely the one thing that all titles of the genre should go to the end of the earth to avoid.

The game has lag. SERIOUS AMOUNTS OF LAG.

In a game about rapping on beat, this is a cardinal sin, as now in order to beat the levels you've got to either anticipate the next string of inputs or wait until you're out of sync with the music in order to hammer home the bars, and because Parappa is synched with your inputs, he'll then rap his lines out of time throwing you off even further! Plus to add salt to the gunshot to the face that is this remaster there's no option to recalibrate the game.

It turned the little pooches saying from "I Gotta Believe!" to "I can't believe you've done this"
