8 Video Game Rewards Hidden In The End Credits

5. Keep Playing The Game - Fable

While it's simply expected these days that most open-world games will let you keep playing once the end credits have done their thing, that wasn't always the case.

2004's classic RPG Fable basically taught players a tough lesson about making sure to sit through the credits, especially if you're susceptible to FOMO.

As it turns out, skipping the end credits causes the game to spit you back out to the main menu, forcing you to reload from your last save, but if you let Fable's 10 minutes of credits play uninterrupted, you'll be thrown back into the world and allowed to keep playing post-victory.

Basically, those who skip the credits but want to stay in the game world will need to reload their save and beat the last boss again, and then this time leave the credits running.

Lionhead were clearly trolling a bit here - wasting a small but not insignificant amount of the player's time for their impatience, and pointing out the merits of sticking around to see who made the thing you just beat.
