8 Video Game Secrets That ONLY Appear On Halloween

6. The Simpsons: Hit & Run

Not enough gets said about how utterly brilliant The Simpsons: Hit & Run is. While it might have been drawing heavily on the likes of the Grand Theft Auto series, it is so much more than just a yellow coated clone. The comedy is on point, the voice acting is completely cheesy and at the same time in complete keeping with the show itself, and the missions are so varied and fun that you'll find yourself engrossed from start to finish.

In short: remaster please.

Another lovely touch is that the menu screen actually changes for certain events such as Christmas and Halloween. Yes, a lot of games do stuff like adding in a few pumpkins or spooky creatures on this date but as I said before, I want as many eyes on this game as possible, so forgive me for playing favorites.

On the 31 October you'll find that the lights have been dimmed, an eerie jack o'lantern leers back at you and probably most worrying of all, a skeleton is slumped up against the wall. I say worrying because it's not like it looks like a proper decoration and more an unfortunate soul who has passed on while waiting for this game to get a remaster. I'm repeating myself, I know: remaster please.
