7. Yuriko's Side Tales - Ghost of Tsushima
As badass as Ghost of Tsushima might be, it also boasts one of the most unexpectedly affecting side quests in recent gaming history, with the Yuriko-centric duo of side tales.
Yuriko is an elderly woman and caretaker of protagonist Jin, who across two side tales will regale you with stories of her past and also whip up some nifty poison darts.
At the end of the second tale, "The Art of Seeing," you're tasked with escorting Yuriko to her mother's grave so she can pay her respects.
As the pair of you sit serenely, wax on the past and soak in the beautiful view, however, Yuriko suddenly passes away, much to Jin's surprise.
Spending these two missions bonding with Yuriko, learning about her younger days, and then having to endure the tragedy of her decline and eventual death, makes for quite the emotional rollercoaster with one hell of an unforgettable payoff.
