8 Video Game Tie-Ins BETTER Than The Original
4. Lord Of The Rings: Return Of The King
Now I know I'm going to get a lot of hate from LOTR fans for this entry, seeing as critiquing this beloved franchise is akin to charging a horde of Orruks with naught but some pipeweed and Peter Jackson's carrot as weaponry, but let's just face facts here.
Return of the King is the weakest entry into the trilogy. C'mon now.
It's bloated with needless scenes, it cuts the bits we actually wanted to see, it rushes the "now we have ghosts" discovery, and of course, it never !*$% ends. It's still an amazing film for sure but it's just a bit to content to smell its own farts for my liking. And trust me when I say this, I had a dam sight more fun playing through the Return of the Kings video game tie-in!
It was chaotic, it was violent, and it was basically Dynasty Warriors which I have such a soft spot for that Doctors are worried my fontanelle never closed, but most importantly it was freaking co-op which meant that you and a mate could bash Sauron's skull in together. The film might have been good, but this was great, which last time I checked makes it better than the original.
Please don't throw me off Minas Tirith!
