8 Video Game Tie-Ins BETTER Than The Original

2. The Warriors

In much the same way that LOTR fans were likely annoyed about my pick earlier, this time around I'm actually annoying myself, as to say that I'm "a little bit of a fan of the film The Warriors" is kind of like saying that "I kinda would crawl over broken glass and used needles to have Ashley Burch pat me on the head" aka a rather small understatement.

I love this film. I love how over-the-top and ridiculous it is, and I kinda love how there is no such thing as a good person within the walls of this feature, creating a rather bleak vision of the future despite being so wonderfully colorful. That being said there are a fair few problems with the piece, namely how its shoestring budget hampered what the director could actually show, and let's face it, the flick needs about 110% more Baseball Furies.

Thankfully these are delivered upon and then some by the games wonderous video game adaptation, that not only recreates every iconic moment of the film, but fleshes out the narrative with a prologue detailing how The Warriors came to be, and side stories that give a deeper insight into each of the main characters. I mean sure Cowboys' side story is as deep as "this is where I done got my hat" but I'll take what I can get when the action is this bloody good.

Therefore it's not to say The Warriors is a bad film, but just that this was so bloody well made and lovingly presented that it's hard not to see it as superior!

Jules Gill hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
