Oh Elden Ring, you are such a game of wonderful and horrific madness, aren't you?

This truly seems like the moment FromSoft just threw their hands in the air and said "ok fine, have it all" as with its plethora of memorable boss battles, a staggering amount of environments, and almost overwhelming build possibilities, Elden Ring is a game both brilliant and beautiful in equal measure.

One of the funniest things to keep track of has been the patch notes for the title, which routinely have come along and attempted to nerf a new popular build doing the rounds which have somehow twisted the game into a horrible monster that can kill end-game bosses in moments. I'm looking at you Dark Reaper Bleed Build with Blood Flame which kills Meliena in seven seconds.

And yet of all of these incredible builds, there has been one that many simply turn their noses up at instantly because of its sheer cheese factor. I'm speaking of course about nearly any magic build utilizing spells like Rock Sling or Comet Azur, which utterly melt bosses with just one or two clicks of a button.

There's great pleasure in obliterating tough foes with ease, but it seems to come with a caveat from the community, that being a millstone of shame worn heavy around the neck of anyone looking for an easy ride, meaning that yes, technically you're a mage of the ages, but you're still a scrub in the eyes of Elden Ring purists.

hey, I don't make the rules.
