8 Video Games That Actually Made Us Want To Go Outside
4. FIFA Street
Made Us Want To: Channel our inner Ronaldinho. FIFA Street, a spin-off of sorts to EA's monster FIFA franchise, is all about skills and trickery. The main objective of each game is to humiliate your opponent by skill-beating them endlessly; scoring goals just isn't enough here. It's a refreshing change to the series (although it does get pretty tedious, pretty fast) and, better still, it makes various skills and flicks using a football look so simple. It's a much smaller game in terms of players needed too; most FIFA Street games are five-a-side. Throwing together a team in order to recreate the fabulous in-game skills seems like a great idea then oh wait, it isn't. You see, Ronaldinho and Cristiano Ronaldo have been working on those skills for years and years; you and your fresh out of the box Nike Predators don't stand a chance. But go ahead, try and pull off a Rainbow Flick without falling flat on your face while your younger, much better opponents run rings around you, eventually going on to win 11-1 (your one goal came when the opposing goalkeeper stood aside sympathetically to let the ball trickle in, by the way). Still, keep at it. Maybe one day, a Premier League team will be looking to hire a guy with two left feet.
I have an addiction to achievements, a craving for new bands and a dream to become Captain America. I once finished second in a Mario Kart 7 tournament so I'm kind of a big deal.
