I just...

Every single time I have to talk about Slippy Toad, I feel a creeping sense of dread wash over me, as for one it harkens the experience of having to save his ass over and over and over again which completely derailed the fun of Star Fox almost exclusively when it happened, but also because for some strange reason, this absolute waste of programming time has his defenders.

Slippy is actually useful! He's an integral part of the team! I love how his voice sounds like he's having his scrotum mashed by a dog's jaw! I just can't get my head around it, as if we're being honest the ability to see an enemy's health bar which is Slippy's one contribution to gameplay, is utterly pointless as all bosses have the same amount of health so what does it matter?

Plus to call this fella "integral" is like saying that you're the Head Chef of your kitchen when you live alone and cook for no one, an utter fallacy as his role is quite literally to be saved.

Every single enemy is able to get the better of this lad, and it makes you wonder why the hell they even let him come on these missions seeing as he has a nasty habit of derailing them so spectacularly.
