8 Video Games That Insulted You For 100% Completion
1. Something Different - Spider-Man 2
God Bless Bruce Campbell and his involvement with the Raimi Spider-Man films, as in each of these weird and whacky web-crawling cinematic outings you can find the larger-than-life actor hamming it up in small but impactful roles.
Such was his dedication to the franchise that Campbell was also approached to provide the narration for the surprisingly brilliant Spider-Man 2 video game, and players can find his dour dulcet tones pouring out throughout the title offering advice with more than a hint of sarcasm behind them.
It brilliantly juxtaposes the over-the-top action you're playing through and will always keep the web-slinger feel a little more grounded, especially if you're looking to see and do all there is to see and do in this title.
For if you listen to Campbells "advice" you'll actually end up falling prey to a moment of mockery as he promises the player that he'll say something different should the player save up and purchase all of the in-game Hint Tokens.
Now, this isn't too great a challenge, but the reward is anything but helpful, as with a level of smug that you can almost feel dripping out of the speakers, upon purchasing the last token, Brucey boy here states:
"Something Different"
Oh Mr. Campbell it was a simple ruse, but a good one.
