8 Video Games That Mock You For Using Cheat Codes

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines gets quite specific about tearing you a new one if you decide to use hacks to boost your player's stats from the get-go.

About five minutes into the game, you'll cross paths with Smiling Jack, and if you've already cheated your way to beefed-up stats, Jack will gleefully relish ripping the ever-loving piss out of you.

The gravel-voiced vamp will call you "precious" for being a try-hard, at which point one of the player's two dialogue options allows them to admit they're too weak to play the game the way it's supposed to be played.

Then you'll be given a choice - either create a new character without steroid-injected stats, or fess up that you're using "mods" and beg Jack to let you continue playing, which he kindly will.

As long as you're able to get over your own ego and deal with the fact that Jack knows you're a shameless cheater from the jump, this seems like a reasonable enough price to pay.
