8 Video Games That Took Forever To Get Good
1. Star Wars: Jedi Knight II - Jedi Outcast
Now, this title entry might see a few heckles raised from longtime Star Wars fans, as while the Jedi Knight offshoot of games might be fading slowly into the ether, they are still perceived by some to be somewhat royalty within the franchise library.
However I want to make clear from the off, this sequel really is a good game, a truly good game in fact, but it really does tease the player with a power fantasy that it doesn't actually provide until nearly midway through the game. I'm speaking of course about the ludicrous Force powers you get access to once you finally walk the Light or Dark path, and while the run-n-gun before this is competent, it pales in comparison to the walking tank made of middle fingers you become in the latter half of the game.
Plus as a sequel, we already know the thrill ride we're in for, so these opening moments feel like waiting in a giant queue, slowly shuffling towards the attractions, and now the guy ahead is trying to find his ticket, someone's trying to push in, one of the kiosks is closing for a lunch break and it's like COME ON LET ME TOSS THIS TROOPER AROUND LIKE A RAGDOLL!
