8 Video Games That Utterly Failed To Live Up To The Hype
4. Night Trap
Unlike many games that failed to deliver on what their developers promised, Night Trap is a victim of not being able to live up to the hype that mainstream media and politicians the world overcoated it with. The title was infamous as an example of how "Dem Vidya Games Corrupt The Yuth" with its apparent depiction of lude rude nudes and visceral depictions of violence.
Except that, it's just totally not. It's about as wild as tea with your nan and to be honest, considering how rough the FMV sections look and how completely non-sexy the participants are, about as titillating. *shivers*
Upon getting to play this game for the first time, I was genuinely excited to see what had set the world alight and helped pushed video games back along a timeline of acceptability for years, but when it turned out to be adequate at best puzzler about you saving teenagers from what I imagine the Putty Squad would look like if they were a Sunday League football team, I was more than disappointed.
Does that make me a bad person for wanting to see more gore? Not when politicians promised that this would destroy my innocence.
