8 Video Games Where YOU Are The Final Boss
5. Mass Effect 3: Citadel DLC
Mass Effect 3's The Citadel DLC may well be one of the best expansions money can buy.
While some might see it as little more than paid fan service, to many it was a love letter to the series that actually felt better connected to the source than much of the vanilla experience. Here was a tightly crafted and personal story that doled out emotional beats and some delicious action that always felt complimentary to the situation rather than being just placed in to pad out the run time.
Plus it contained some deliriously cheesy moments just too good to hate.
And by that, I mean that in this DLC we were introduced to the final villain of the expansion, you.
And by THAT, I mean your Evil "Twin" aka another Commander Shephard who was created by Cerberus as a backup, but who has broken loose and is looking to steal your identity. As you might expect this twists and turns through moments of betrayal and people questioning your intentions and culminates in a boss battle with the Clone who actually uses your chosen build to inform its attacks.
Which itself is just an excellent touch. In fact, the word "excellent" is just how to sum up this entire experience.
