8 Ways All Video Games Are Becoming Exactly The Same

7. Obligatory Stealth Sections

To add 'variety' to the gaming experience, every new release opts to feature a stealth system or a stealth sequence these days regardless of whether it meshes with the main style of gameplay.

Hell, even the most braindead shooters feel obliged to slow the pace down and have you sneak around enemies every few missions or so, repeating the same boring neck-slicing animation players have seen thousands of times.

The problem is that, although most developers feel like they have to put stealth mechanics into their games, they rarely put any effort into actually making them fun, and you can tell that they were included solely so the publishers had another feature to brag about in previews.

But the absolute worst offenders *cough* Destiny 2 *cough* often make their sneaking sequences ridiculously challenging, insta-killing you as soon as you're seen. It's not enjoyable, and there's no faster way to frustrate players than to include one of these in a game.
