3. Distant Planet - Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Arguably one of the most divisive games in the entire medium, you either "love a couple games of Smash!", or despise its very nature.

Sadly, even if you've gotten used to the franchise's mix of random burst attacks winning matches out of nowhere, Distant Brawl - first seen in SSB Brawl - is a creation from Satan himself.

Awash in things that detract from the hyper-specific view of the action you need to actually play Smash Bros with any degree of controls, this stage sees the camera focus on a snail that peeks in from the corner instead. Zoomed all the way out, it's incredibly hard to see what's going on, what you need to respond to and where to attack next.

Worse still, the left side of the stage is a waterfall, meaning if you land on here for even a second, your character gets plummeted off the edge and into the brink below.

Combined, it's an utter chore to fight on Distant Planet, your time instead being spent locating your character or avoiding half the screen entirely.
