8 Worthless Video Game Items You NEVER Used
4. Secret Boots - Castlevania: Symphony Of The Night
Oh me oh my, are we in for a treat, for it's time to talk about the "secret boots" from Symphony Of The Night. Now, before I begin, let me just make it clear that this game is utter Chef's Kiss, I adore the art style, I adore the exploration and combat and of course, I am in love with some of the weapons and items you can use.
I am, however, NOT so enamored with the "secret boots". While it sounds like these magical shoes will imbue you with enhanced speed or jumping, they instead make you... ever so slightly taller. Yeah, that's it.
The game even goes so far as to highlight just how miniscule the change is by stating they "discreetly" make Alucard's sprite taller. Seriously what is the actual point of these? Well apparently, it's to access less than a handful of secret rooms, none of which offer anything more than item pickups.
Sick. No please, pop on the platforms, and while we're here why not complete the look with the slightly padded gloves of finger lengthening or the hidden shorts WHICH HAVE THE CROTCH CUT OUT. Absolutely useless.
Oh and as a side note, speedrunners state never to use these boots as they can break the game. Cool.
