3. Kinect Hacks
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fOWpwPUhpw4 When Microsoft first introduced motion-enabled gameplay, it was only a matter of time before enthusiasts, technicians and engineers began hacking the Xbox Kinect and implementing it's 3D cameras into other situations, including potentially mould-breaking innovations. The video shows a montage of modified Kinects that have been used to create flying drones and even help blind people navigate the world better. All of these are incredibly brilliant uses of the technology, but they don't cross over into gaming territory. However, there is one instance in the above video which does show the device being hacked for just such a purpose. While others are pushing the boundaries of technology, one individual has managed to use the Kinect for World Of Warcraft, doing away with the mouse and keyboard in favour of a different gaming experience. Tell us that's not impressive, we dare you.
