9 100+ Hour Video Games You NEED To Play

5. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

I feel like I could just say “It’s the Witcher 3” at this point since the game’s reputation absolutely precedes itself but I can’t very well tell you all the super long video games you absolutely have to play without including The Witcher 3 so let’s do it.

Telling one of the most epic stories ever brought to the video game medium, since we can’t forget the book series it came from, Geralt’s iconic hero's journey is comparable to very few iconic video game protagonists.

While it will mean more to those who played the games preceding it, The Witcher 3 is entirely accessible to those with no prior knowledge as well. Its enormous world made up of various locations that are broken down into their own discrete segments is totally engrossing. It’s a joy to explore, the monsters are epic, the stories are involved and meaningful, and very little in the world easily slots into the fields of only good or only evil. There is so much to learn, mechanics to master, and plotlines you’re desperate to see through that like many games on this list, you’ll find time just falls away while you’re playing it.

Which is good, because including the two huge expansions which are well worth playing, you’re going to be at this one for a really long time.
