9. Become A Compelling Character On NXT

Anybody who's anybody (who has the WWE Network) has seen the recent popular promotional video for NXT. It's essentially a who's who for some of the more popular gimmicks in WWE's minor league program. The Vaudevillians sing, Mojo Rawley talks about staying hype, and Prince Pretty himself Tyler Breeze takes selfies. This is just scratching the surface; NXT itself is filled with throwback gimmicks and good old fashioned, slobberknocking wrestling. There are intellectual professors, hippies, BFFs, and second generation superstars like Charlotte and Natalya. There are plenty more unique wrestlers, and all of them can bring the house down. NXT is not only a showcase for up and coming talent but a proving ground for scrappers trying to develop unique characters, throwing gimmicks at the wall until they stick. Succeeding in NXT, getting good pops (or legitimate heat) is one of the first things that needs to happen in MyCareer in order for your character to begin to make a name for themselves that will eventually get talked about all the way up through Superstars/Main Event and into Raw and Smackdown. Not only will becoming the NXT big thing say a lot for your character, it will elevate the rest of this AAA scene and continue to legitimise it as a promotion.
