9 Celebrity Voice Actors Who Ruined Their Video Games
8. Christopher Walken - George (True Crime: Streets Of L.A.)
One of the most over-parodied and hilariously self-aware characters in Hollywood this side of Michael Caine, Christopher WAH'kin's performance in True Crime is either going to be something you really love - because it's so stupidly over the top and Walken'd up to the max - or be thoroughly baffled by his confusing intonation.
Right from the off most of the declarative statements he comes out with sound like questions, and it's clear that from his time in the studio there wasn't one good take where either Walken or developers Luxoflux were totally happy, leading to a performance that's been noticeably stitched together from what must have been almost hundreds of individual lines.
This wasn't even Walken's first waltz with the mistress of video gaming either, he'd previously appeared in one of the most hilarious titles to not even see the light of day in Take-Two Interactive's Ripper. It saw him ham it up all-you-can-eat-buffet style as a grizzled cigar-chomping cop, partnering in an extremely stilted manner with some guy who looks like Chad Kroeger.
