7. Tobey Maguire - Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Spider-Man 2: The Video Game)

You'd think after playing a character for a few years, anyone would be pretty good at it. But that's not the case for the cow-eyed Tobey Maguire, a man who's still nerdier than a box of Magic cards at the best of times, never mind when he has to take up the mantle of one of the greatest superheroes of all time.

Sure the whole Spidey persona is made up of many things - one being a pretty big sense of vulnerability whenever the suit and real life responsibilities intersect - but Maguire's performance in the official movie tie-in seemed to feature him as a broken, over-apologetic mess.

This could just be an issue with the script, as nearly all his lines and exchanges open with some sort of an apology or other backtrack on what he's been up to and where, but still when you're - at the time - the face of Marvel in-cinema, carrying some of that magnetism into the voice booth shouldn't of been a challenge.

Instead as you can hear, Tobey's final reads just ended up being more fuel to the haters of his version of Peter Parker rather than the perfect embodiment of the wall-crawler we knew and loved from the older animated TV series.
