3. A Character In Fire Emblem Will Swap Sides If Made To Fight Family

Blood is thicker than water, as the old saying goes. In Fire Emblem: Path Of Radiance, released for the GameCube in 2005, it's possible to see this firsthand.

One of the game's main characters, Jill Fizzart, is daughter of the antagonist General Shiharam. Throughout the game Jill wrestles with her allegiance, wanting to be a renowned Wyvern Lord like her father. If the player uses Jill in Chapter 20, however, and attempts to fight Shiharam with his own daughter, Jill will actually defect to her father's side, joining the Daein army.

Not only does this deprive players of the character, it also means players may have to fight and kill her. That's what you get for putting her in such an awkward situation...
