9 Confessions Of A PS4 Owner After Buying An Xbox One

5. There€™s No Point If You Don't Want Exclusives

To be frank, if Microsoft staples like Halo, Crackdown and Gears of War don't do it for you, there's probably no point in picking up that second console yet. Sure, there are other great exclusives to be found on the system (2014's Sunset Overdrive being one of the best), but there's simply not enough to justify splashing hundreds for a couple of games.

And owning both machines is useless when it comes to multiplatform releases. While you have the option to boost your library for both systems, the reality is you're going to find yourself favouring and committing to one, meaning that exclusive games will be the only thing keeping your second console on life support.

So if you're on the fence, you've really only got one thing to consider: does Microsoft have the exclusives for you? If you think you're going to get plenty of value out of them then great, owning that second console will definitely be worth it. However, if you don't mind missing the likes of Gears and Halo then there's no reason to commit yourself to additional hardware just yet.
