9 Dark Video Game Secrets You DON'T Want To Find

It may be true that nobody does it like Red Dead but if you had to make the argument that another video game did, it’s probably got to be The Last of Us.

While we’re on the topic of the super depressing demises of characters who didn’t deserve their fates, let’s talk about Kyle and his kids.

The apocalypse wasn’t going too bad for Kyle and his family for a while there. They built a hideout of almost fifty residents and their encampment had a school, beds, and even showers. Sadly it went the way of everything in The Last of Us when the infected managed to breach the walls.

Kyle and some of the children fell back into a certain area of the sewers which you can happen upon and investigate if you’re just having way too good of a day. There you can see how it all went down. Presumably to prevent a far worse fate, Kyle ended the lives of himself and the children, but not before scrawling a message on the floor that reads “They didn’t suffer.”

I promise the next entry does not have any deceased children in it. Although, I can’t make any promises about the entry after that. Or the one after that. But we’ll cross that bridge when we get to it.
