9 Flawed Video Games That Became Perfect After Release

2. Battlefield 4

Battlefield 4 was the first big disaster of the current generation. Giving console players a taste of huge 64-player battles, the multiplayer shooter suffered crippling server problems at launch across every platform.

Consequently, it was a battle to even get into a game, and when you did there was a good chance that you'd get shot by someone who wasn't visible on your screen. Even then, when you were lucky enough to slip into a fully-functioning match, the game itself was a big step down from previous entries in the franchise, with imbalanced weapons and shady tactics dominating lobbies.

Thankfully, DICE have always been dedicated to improving the experience of their games, not only addressing the troubled netcode to make for a smooth and reliable shooting experience, but also constantly updating the weapons and maps to make them feel more impactful, fair and interesting.

All these additional patches meant that the shooter probably took up about a third of your hard drive space, but it was worth it for how much these updates improved the experience.
