9 Full Video Games You Can Unlock Inside Other Games

9. An Insane NES Library (Inside Animal Crossing)

Despite Animal Crossing: New Horizons being - by far - the most popular entry in the series, it's a totally valid complaint that you can't interact with any of your items, outside of a stock, repeating animation.

No kicking a ball between players or into a goal, no riding a bike or playing a video game - but it didn't used to be this way.

Back in the original GameCube Animal Crossing, there were no more than 19 original NES games scattered around the island. Some had to be dug up, others traded from NPCs and some acquired from specific competition giveaways, but you could absolutely amass a custom arcade filled with Super Mario Bros., Excitebike, Donkey Kong, Balloon Fight, Ice Climbers and MANY more.

Fans even discovered that the original Zelda was buried in the game's code too.

Contrast to how 2016 saw us losing our minds over availability of the NES mini, and it's insane to remember Nintendo used to give this stuff away for free.
