9 Greatest Platform Games You’ve Never Played
3. Bonk's Adventure
System: TurboGrafx 16
Its hard to say that this game has not been played by anyone, because aside from its initial release in 1989, Bonks Adventure has been released in some form on the NES, GameBoy, Wii Virtual Console, PS Network, and mobile devices (only in Japan). You'll also show your age if you remember seeing Bonk's Adventure as a video challenge on classic Nickelodeon show Nick Arcade.
The game's story shared similarities with that of Mario. Bonk's mission was to save a princess (Princess Za) from a heinous, green dinosaur king (King Drool). Bonk also taught gamers how to eat a balanced diet. As your health depleted, fruits and vegetables would give you more health, but meat would give you extra strength and power ups.
Bonk's Adventure was an early classic developed by Hudson Soft, who is now owned by Konami. The developer was hoping to develop a reboot of the series, but since they are no longer their own entity, its status is up in the air.
