9 Huge Video Games You Forgot Were Coming In 2019

8. Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course

Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order
Studio MDHR

Release date: TBA 2019

Studio MDHR's gorgeous hand-drawn homage to 1930s cartoons, marvellous boss design and unforgiving-yet-fair bullet hell action elevated Cuphead to instant classic status in 2017, the only persistent criticism being a lack of meat on the bone. Unsurprising, then, that the titular character and his sibling's adventures are scheduled to continue next year with The Delicious Last Course, a DLC with the sole aim of expanding Inkwell Isle's landmass and populating it with all sorts of monstrous inhabitants.

How extensive the expansion is, MDHR has yet to specify, but the short and sweet reveal trailer accompanying Microsoft's E3 presser boasted several new bosses, weapons, charms and a new character - Ms. Chalice. The new cast member brings her own unique repertoire - including a double jump - to the table to help tackle the latest threat to Inkwell Isle as well as revisit old stomping grounds.

An excellent decision on MDHR's part that will retroactively enrich the base game with new methods of play as well as providing a wealth of new content beyond the (current) final battle against Satan. It's going to be a blast.
