9 Landmark Fan Outrages That Changed Expensive Video Games
3. Master Chief Collection Finally Being Fixed
Now this one sees me taking Microsoft at their word, as despite the MCC being three years old and still broken, 343 Industries have finally endeavoured to fix it.
The announcement came alongside the Xbox One X, as Microsoft clearly realised, "Hey, people really liked those old Halo games", and the rest of us went, "No sh*t!"
Halo's Master Chief Collection was one of the most well received announcements of the generation, rolling together multiple age brackets into one nostalgic explosion of positive information: Not only were the old games coming back, but you'd be able to design playlists that would drop you in and out of all their various game engines, one by one.
Sadly, the reality was a game marred by connection issues and horrific load times, resulting in developers 343 moving onto Halo 5 instead. Still, the fire and fury behind Halo's fanbase never truly dissipated, and with any luck (because we'll really need it), Halo's full collection of titles should be playable at some point in 2018.
