9 Lego Games We're Still Waiting For

9. Just a Big Crazy Crossover

Lego Minifigs

The licensing for this game would be an absolute nightmare, but if there was ever any way to pull something like this off there's no way this wouldn't be a best seller for the company. No major third party company seems to have as many huge licenses in its stable as Lego, and finding a way to bring those licenses together for one giant, ludicrous fan-boy orgy would be a dream come true for many of us. In the past, fewer things have sparked more Elementary school-level imaginations than team-ups and throw-downs between favorite characters from all over fiction. In the world we live in today these things are coming to existence in ways we never would have dreamed possible as children. Sonic and Mario fighting Solid Snake in Super Smash Brothers? Zangief and Bowser in the same room in Wreck-it Ralph? Darth Vader, Spider-Man and Kermit the Frog all owned by the same company? Never outside of comics have there been more crossovers happening in major media products. Now is the time for interested parties to get together and give us the Marvel/DC/Lord of the Rings/Ninja Turtles/Star Wars/Indiana Jones/Harry Potter game the children inside of us have been wanting for decades. Lego is the glue that could bind all of these worlds together. Make it happen, you crazy Danes. What property do you think would make the best Lego game? What have your favorites been so far and what would you like to see changed in the future? Let us know in the comments!

Jordan Schaeffer has many pan-nerdly interests. Said interests include but are not limited to: Comics, old horror movies, comics, video games, TV shows of a certain caliber, and comics. Ask him anything about The Venture Brothers. He is American, but is starting to get a sneaking suspicion that everyone else on WhatCulture! is British.
