Chances are you've heard of PewDiePie, the Swedish genius who marketed his over-exuberant potential to stupidly successful effect, creating an online personality that not only makes him the most successful Youtuber out there (to the tune of $4 million a year in ad sales), but one that's built everything on the back of the video game industry itself. From popularising the idea of 'Let's Plays' (where you watch someone play a title) to featuring everything from indie titles and prominent triple-As all for just as much ridicule as to heap praise over, Felix 'The Pewds' Kjellberg became the go-top name when thinking of both Youtubers in general, how to even shoot gaming-related content online and the very notion of a 'Youtube Celebrity' in the modern age. Many love him and many hate just as much, but when it stands that the most successful and watched figure in the entire online world is a gamer, that's a pretty big and special deal indeed.
